A wedding & funeral celebrant in South West England …

...trusted to help life’s most important moments feel real - not overwhelming. Warm, personal ceremonies for weddings and farewells, created with care so you can be present in the moment, rather than worrying about it.

Whether you’re making promises and commitments to your favourite person or saying goodbye to someone deeply loved, these are moments where you want to feel present — not like you’re performing them. They matter – and they deserve words that are honest, meaningful, and deeply human.

Welcome ...

I’m Melly, a celebrant who creates ceremonies for life’s most significant moments. I work with people who want meaning without the pressure or performance that weddings can sometimes bring. I write ceremonies that feel warm, personal, and thoughtfully crafted around the people at the heart of them.

No scripts pulled from a drawer. No one-size-fits-all approach. No expectation to suddenly become “romantic on cue” — or to find perfect words in an impossible moment. Just careful listening, genuine connection, and ceremonies shaped with intention.

About me

I create wedding ceremonies that reflect who you are as a couple – your values, your stories, your humour, your love.

And I create farewell ceremonies that honour a life lived, holding space for grief, gratitude, and remembrance with compassion and respect.

Whatever brings you here, you don’t need to perform, impress, or fit into a mould. You get to show up as yourselves - and I’ll meet you there.

Weddings and vow renewals

Personal, meaningful ceremonies for couples who want warmth, authenticity, and a whole lot of heart.

Farewells

Thoughtfully held farewells, created with care to honour life, love, and the memories that remain.
