About Mel (Melly to my friends)
I am a professionally trained, inclusive and independent Celebrant. I love to laugh, have fun, support others' joys and strengths. The ceremonies I craft are authentic, in your voice, humour and reflect the tone you want for your day. I thrill in sharing your story, taking people on your journey, conveying all that makes you shine is what gets me up and out in the mornings!
My mission is to always find the hygge; don't focus on the word - it's a feeling. It's that optimum level of comfort and cosiness we get when we feel content and cared for. It can be felt in anything that gives you that wonderful feel good glow. Being amongst people who get us, our 'tribe' is often packed with fabulous 'hyggeligge' moments. Feeling at home, that we belong, relating and being comfortable with who we are is a gift which I never take for granted. For me, capturing these moments, wrapping myself in all of this is my way of living life to it's fullest. I apply all of this 'hyggeligge', my loving power and nature to celebrate you and your partner and present all of your gifts for those who love and support you, your tribe.

My professional background is in Mediation. I take great joy in supporting people to relate with each other, on a deeper level. To foster root level trust, care and comfort so that together they meet their very best and meaningfully relate with one another. I apply this power to couples I marry. I don't analyse or encroach, but I am a mirror reflecting back for you both what makes you strong, brought you toward each other and how you express your love. From this I craft your ceremony script, support in the writing of your vows, or family members' speeches (if that support is wanted) so all that can often go unrecognised - the heart, our feelings - is at the core of your celebration.
