You meet your Celebrant and you can choose who amongst us is the best fit for you, it is all about connection, relating and chemistry. By the arrival of the day I feel I know and care about my couples as well as I know and care for some of my friends! I have always been one of those people who loves a good love story, intrigued by how couples met, to learn what it is that makes them tick, how they communicate and manage disagreement, how they show their love to one another, how they have folded into one anothers’ families and friend groups even how they have divided the labour of managing a home and family. I guess you could say I’m a bit of a relationship geek, studying Sociology and then an established career in Mediation probably compounded my interest. So when a couple choose me to be their Celebrant they know I will be paying attention to their values, their shared principles, their differences, strengths and preferences, their bond and nature; all with the aim of giving them a truly meaningful ceremony which encapsulates and celebrates them. Most Celebrants have consultations with couples prior to booking so you can get a feel for our mutual chemistry and fit, we are happy for you to shop around, we are a mixed bunch and we all offer something different. Whereas, with a registrar you don't get to choose the person or rarely do you meet your Registrar before the day or have chance to personalise the ceremony script.
